Our bakery company has grown from baking bread out of a basement to being one of the largest independent bakers in America. Founded by Auguste LeComte in 1912, Gold Medal Bakery was built on the promise of high-quality ingredients and on-time delivery. With this mission, Auguste rapidly grew his business and built a plant after only three years. Business ownership has been passed down through generations of the LeComte family, operating with Auguste’s principles of excellence as their foundation. In the early 2000s, the company acquired a distribution center in Connecticut to expand its reach, as well as a new warehouse facility in 2009. With a commitment to family values and innovation, Gold Medal Bakery has become one of the most successful family-owned bakeries in the country.
